What is an SSID?

The technical name for SSID is "Service Set Identifier"
It is also often referenced as the Internet Name.
SSID is a case sensitive, 32 alphanumeric characters unique identifier attached to the header of packets sent over a wireless local-area network.
Characters such as %,?, ! may not be used in your SSID name.
